Questions, answered.
Everything venues, artists and buyers usually ask. Can't find yours? Contact us.
Does it cost anything to partner with ArtWhere?
No. There's no fee, no rental and no purchase. We provide the paintings, install them and manage sales. You earn 10% of every painting sold from your walls.
Who chooses the art?
Our curation team, in conversation with you. We propose a collection based on your interiors, light, audience and brand, and you approve it before anything goes up.
Who installs the paintings?
We do. Our team hangs, labels and tags each piece at a time that suits your operations, usually in a few hours.
What happens when a painting sells?
The buyer pays through the ArtWhere tag and shows your team their payment confirmation. Your staff help them take the painting down, and we replace it with new work, usually within a week.
What do our staff need to do?
Very little. We give a ten-minute briefing and a simple one-page guide. Mostly, they check the payment confirmation on the buyer's phone and help them take the painting down and wrap it.
How and when do we receive our commission?
We send you a monthly statement covering every sale from your walls, and transfer your 10% share by bank transfer.
What if a painting gets damaged?
Accidents happen. We ask venues to take reasonable care of the paintings on display and to tell us promptly about any damage. Our venue agreement sets out exactly how this is handled, in plain language.
Can we change or rotate the art?
Yes. Sold pieces are replaced, and we can refresh the full collection every three to four months, or sooner on request.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Our venue agreement starts with a three-month initial period, then continues month to month. Either side can end it with 30 days' notice.
Can we donate our commission?
Yes. Through Art That Gives Back, your share can go to a local charity of your choice.
What kind of venues do you work with?
Hotels, restaurants, cafés, hospitals and clinics, salons and spas, and boutiques in Hyderabad. Premium offices and co-working spaces are coming soon.
Will the art suit our brand?
That's the point of curation. We would rather install six right paintings than twenty wrong ones, and you approve every collection before it goes up.
Is there a fee to apply or exhibit?
No. There are no application, listing or hanging fees.
How much do I earn when a painting sells?
65% of the sale price.
Who owns the painting while it's on display?
You do. Paintings are placed on consignment and remain yours until sold.
Who sets the price?
We agree it together. We'll share what sells well in our venues (most works sell between ₹2,000 and ₹10,000), but the final price is agreed with you in writing.
How and when am I paid?
By bank transfer, within 10 working days of the sale, with a statement for every painting sold.
What happens if my painting doesn't sell?
We may move it to another venue where it might find the right buyer. If it's retired from display, we return it to you within 14 days.
What if my painting is damaged while on display?
Our consignment agreement explains exactly how damage is handled, so you know where you stand before anything is hung.
Do you accept prints or digital art?
Not at the moment. We exhibit original paintings only.
Can I sell the same painting elsewhere while it's with ArtWhere?
While a painting is on display with us, we ask that it isn't sold elsewhere, so a buyer is never disappointed. If you have an outside sale opportunity, tell us and we'll work it out with you.
Do I need to frame my work?
Works must be ready to hang. Gallery-wrapped canvases work well unframed; works on paper need framing. We can advise on simple, cost-effective framing.
How do you decide who gets selected?
We look at quality, originality, consistency, finish and fit with our current venues. It isn't a judgement of your worth as an artist.
I'm not in Hyderabad. Can I apply?
We're Hyderabad-only for now, but you're welcome to apply and tell us your city. We'll be in touch as we expand.
Are these really original paintings?
Yes. Every painting with an ArtWhere tag is an original, made by the artist named on the tag. We don't sell prints.
How do I buy a painting?
Scan the tag beside it, pay securely on your phone, and show your payment confirmation to the venue team.
Can I take it home right away?
Yes, in most cases. The painting comes off the wall and leaves with you, wrapped.
What payment methods do you accept?
UPI, debit and credit cards, and net banking.
Does my purchase support the artist?
Yes. 65% of what you pay goes directly to the artist who made the painting.
Can I collect it later?
Yes. If you'd rather not carry it today, let the venue team know after paying and collect it within 48 hours.
Can I get it delivered?
Not yet. For now, paintings leave with you from the venue. If that's difficult, contact us and we'll help arrange a collection time.
Can I return a painting?
Because each piece is one of a kind, all sales are final. If there's a problem with the painting at handover, tell the venue team or contact us straight away and we'll make it right.
How do I know who the artist is?
Every tag names the artist and links to their story.
Can I commission the artist?
Get in touch and we'll connect you, where the artist is open to commissions.
