Purchase & Returns Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This policy explains how buying an original painting through ArtWhere works.
Prices and payment
The price of each painting is shown on its ArtWhere tag and on the payment page you reach by scanning it. Payment is made online through our payment partner, by UPI, debit or credit card, or net banking. You'll receive a payment confirmation on your phone or by email.
Handover and collection
Once your payment is confirmed, show the confirmation to the venue team. They will take the painting down and wrap it for you. If you'd prefer to collect later, tell the venue team after paying and collect it within 48 hours. Paintings not collected within that time may be held by ArtWhere; contact us to arrange collection.
Ownership
Ownership of the painting passes to you when payment is confirmed and the painting is handed over. Copyright in the artwork remains with the artist.
Condition
Please check the painting at handover. Each painting is handmade and may show natural marks of the artist's process; these are not defects.
Returns
Because every painting is a one-of-a-kind original, all sales are final and we do not accept returns for change of mind.
If a painting is damaged or not as described at handover, tell the venue team immediately or email us within 48 hours with photos. We will work with you to put it right, which may include a refund.
Cancellations and refunds
If a painting you paid for turns out to be unavailable (for example, sold moments earlier), we will refund you in full. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 7 working days of approval, depending on your bank.
